NOTICE OF ELECTION
ELECTION OF PARISH COUNCILLORS PARISH OF HENLEY-IN-ARDEN
1. ELECTION An Election is to be held of SEVEN Councillors for the above Parish.
2. NOMINATION PAPERS. Nomination Papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford Upon Avon, CV37 6HX, Monday to Thursday 9am to 5 pm and Friday 9am to 4pm (excluding bank holidays), who will at the request of any elector for the Parish prepare a nomination paper for signature.
3. DELIVERY OF THE NOMINATION PAPERS Nomination Papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford Upon Avon, CV37 6HX, on any day after the date of this notice, on Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 4pm (excluding bank holidays), but not later than NOON on FRIDAY, 4TH APRIL 2008.
4. POLL If the election is contested, a poll will take place on THURSDAY, 1ST MAY 2008.
5. ABSENT VOTES Electors and their proxies should take note that applications to vote by post must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm ON Wednesday, 16th APRIL 2008 if they are to be effective for this election. This includes electors or their proxies who wish to make alterations to their existing arrangements on a permanent basis or who wish to make separate application for their ballot paper to be sent to a different address for this particular election.
Applications to appoint a proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by no later that 5pm on WEDNESDAY, 23RD APRIL 2008 except in cases where unforeseen illness or incapacity occurs after that time in which case applications may be made up until 5pm on THURSDAY, 1ST MAY 2008.
All applications and notices regarding absent voting must be sent to the Electoral Registration Officer, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford Upon Avon, CV37 6HX
