Aim: No community can exist without a viable economy and employment. The purpose of the Committee is to take a pro-active and co-ordinating role in promoting tourism, business and employment in the Parish.
Terms of reference
1. Use the resources, technology and contacts available to the Parish Council to promote Tourism, Business and Employment in the Parish.
2. Work with local businesses, organisations and with residents to promote Henley-in-Arden for business.
3. Work with Central Government and Local Authorities (Warwickshire County Council, Stratford District Council etc) to establish a coherent economic strategy for our town and in obtaining grants that can benefit the whole community .
4. Examine the validity for release of employment sites for non-business purposes.
5. Support local education establishments to provide a skilled workforce to meet the needs of the local economy.
6. Support community activities that enhance the attractiveness of the town.
7. Assist in projects that improve the economic infrastructure of the town. e.g the re-development of the railway station, bus services and highway efficiency (embracing roads and parking).
